About Me

True sport success starts from the inside.

I was a student-athlete who earned a full scholarship to compete at a Division I university. I trained hard, showed up, and performed—but like many athletes, my mental game didn’t always feel steady. Mistakes could linger. Confidence could dip. Losses felt heavy. I didn’t always have the tools to regulate my emotions, reset my mindset, or respond to pressure in a healthy way.

Also, what I noticed was that I was not the only one experiencing these things!

These experiences is what led me to become a licensed therapist and athlete mental wellness coach.

Today, through True Sport Mental Wellness, I support athletes and their parents in building a healthier relationship with sport—one rooted in emotional safety, confidence, resilience, and trust. I help athletes develop the skills to manage pressure, recover from mistakes, and compete with clarity. I help parents learn how to support their athlete without adding stress or damaging connection.

It’s uncommon to find someone who has lived the demands of high-level athletics and has professional training in mental health. My role is to bridge that gap—combining real sport experience with evidence-based mental wellness tools.

True Sport Mental Wellness isn’t about being tougher or pushing harder. It’s about helping athletes feel supported, regulated, and confident—so they can perform, grow, and enjoy this life and the sport they love.

If you’re an athlete or parent looking for a healthier path forward in sport, you’re in the right place.

Your support has more impact than you realize.

I work with parents who want to help their athlete succeed—but don’t always know the best way to show up. You may worry about saying the wrong thing after a game, adding pressure without meaning to, or watching your child struggle with confidence, anxiety, or motivation.

Through True Sport Mental Wellness, I help parents learn how to:

  • Communicate in ways that preserve emotional safety

  • Support performance without increasing pressure

  • Respond calmly to emotional swings around sport

  • Strengthen trust and connection with their athlete

  • Understand what their athlete may need mentally—not just physically

You don’t need to be an expert in sports psychology to be a powerful support system. Small shifts in communication and understanding can create big changes in how your athlete feels, performs, and relates to you.

My goal is to help you feel confident in your role—so your athlete feels supported, understood, and capable.

Your mental game matters just as much as your physical training.

At True Sport Mental Wellness, I work with athletes who care deeply about their sport—but feel stuck with confidence, pressure, or emotional ups and downs. Maybe mistakes linger longer than you want them to. Maybe anxiety shows up before or during competition. Or maybe you feel like your performance doesn’t always reflect how hard you work.

My role is to help you build skills to:

  • Manage pressure without shutting down or overthinking

  • Reset quickly after mistakes

  • Strengthen confidence and self-trust

  • Regulate emotions during competition

  • Enjoy your sport again while continuing to grow

This work isn’t about “toughening up” or ignoring emotions. It’s about understanding them, working with them, and learning how to show up with clarity—especially when things feel hard.

You don’t have to do this alone. With the right support, your mental game can become a strength instead of a barrier.
